Self-portrait

A self-portrait I've made in photoshop. I had a picture in the background, so it's not completely freehand, but I like it anyway. Wish I could show you the photo, but I don't have it on this computer. So I'll do it some other time..

And by the way, today I finished the third dress for my collection, I like it a lot!

So little time

Painted with aquarelle.

I haven't got much time left for sewing these days. I hope that will change soon, but I'm not sure about that... I'm so tired of school right now! Yah!

the collection

As some of you might know, I'm making a collection in school. It's for spring/summer -11 and I'm going to show it at a fashionshow in june. So far, I've made two dresses that are finished and I'm working on one more dress and a pair of shorts. My teacher said that we should sew 3-6 garments. But I'm making 7 or more. (she said it was okay:) It's so much fun!

I don't know if I want to show you the garments before the whole collection is ready. But maybe I can't wait and show them anyway.. But for today you'll get some sneak peeks on the two finished dresses and the shorts I'm working on.

Transparent details

Sharp edges and different cuts

Money can't buy happiness...

...but sometimes I wish I was rich.
Like when I think of all the places I want to go to.
Like when I want to order thousands of fabrics.
Like when I found this shop.

And by the way, isn't this cute:

Sorry if I brag, but...

..I'm so damn proud of myself for making my own pants from a pattern that I drafted myself. ;)

Pants, check!

My pants are ready! I'm so proud! I have no pictures yet, but there will probably pop up some here tomorrow.

Blue flowers

I finished a dress today. It's made from a fabric I bought at a flea market last summer. I usually make my patterns myself, but for this I used an old bought pattern that I love, I just made some changes in the neckline and the skirt.

Princess seams in the bodice.

I used bias tape in the neckline and an invisible zipper in the back.

What do you think?

Work in progress

Since my serger hasn't arrived yet, I've got many garments cut out but not sewed together yet. A pair of pants, a dress and a top. And right now I'm constructing a jumpsuit. So for now I don't have much to show you, but you can get a sneak peek of the top, pinned together on the dressform.

Polka dotted, waist-short and cute.

Ice ice

It's lots of snow in Sweden now. And ice. A couple of days ago we were down at the beach with some sandwiches and hot chocolate. It was so cozy and everything is so beautiful in the winter:

Beautiful, isn't it?

As you can see, I'm making some changes here on the blog. It isn't ready yet, but soon...

I joind pinterest yesterday. And wow, so much inspiration. You can both add pics to your boards from any site or blog and then you can "repin" pics that other members have added. It's a little hard to explain, but I think you all should join.

I found this lace lamp. I think it's possible to make something similar.. I'll have to try it!

The most beautiful dress ever? Yes, I think so!

I love this work space!! It's so pretty and so clever!
